Our mission at River’s Edge Resort is to provide a satisfying and memorable Fairbanks experience for guests as they utilize our outstanding facilities and customer services. Furthermore, we want to create value for our guests, employees, and shareholders.
A third-generation Fairbanks family developed River’s Edge Resort in 1989 as a 80-site RV Park, but that was only its first phase. Facilities and amenities were added each year, and the final construction phase was completed in 1999. River’s Edge Resort consists of a 167-site RV Park, 86 private cottages, a full-service restaurant and deck overlooking the Chena River, and a 10,000 sq. ft. lodge housing eight hotel executive suites, a 2,000 sq. ft. banquet and meeting hall, lobby, and gift shop. The result is a distinctive 15-acre landscaped riverfront property that is unique not only to Fairbanks but to Alaska.
River’s Edge Resort operates during the summer season, catering to leisure travelers and participants in corporate, governmental, association, or event-oriented retreats, conventions, or meetings. We offer wages that are above the average competitive rates for experienced service-oriented professionals in the hospitality industry. We encourage employees wishing to pursue a career in this industry to stay on with us throughout the season. Opportunities for promotion exist in our various departments. We consider our employees as the greatest single asset in maintaining River’s Edge Resort as a successful business.
During the summer season (May-Sept), River’s Edge Resort will employ between 100 and 110 full- and part-time staff in all departments.
